A Glimpse of Your Daily Life
Your playground is yours to build! Reporting to the VP of Commercial Insurance, our future Director combines strategy and creativity to make our brokerage shine in the industry. We’re looking for a team player with an intrapreneurial mindset, ready to elevate our sales team to the next level. Your responsibilities are divided into four key areas:
Business Development (50%)
- Develop and execute a business development plan focused on growth.
- Identify new business opportunities in strategic sectors (construction, transportation, real estate, etc.).
Strategic Partnerships (15%)
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners (associations, groups).
- Negotiate collaboration agreements to optimize service offerings and strengthen the firm’s position.
- Participate in brainstorming and organizing networking events, webinars, and conferences to enhance the firm’s visibility in collaboration with the marketing & communications team.
Market Strategic Analysis (15%)
- Monitor performance indicators related to sales, client acquisition, and partnership profitability.
- Provide recommendations to the executive committee on product and service improvements based on market feedback.
Management & Collaboration (20%)
- Train new account directors on business development strategies.
- Provide daily support and guidance to account directors.
The Profile We’re Looking For
- University degree in business administration.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in business development—insurance experience not required!
- Proven experience in negotiation and strategic partnership management.
- Management or leadership experience is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication, networking, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
